I grew up watching this old VHS of SNL’s Best of Roseanne. It was really, really good. And all day long I’ve been replaying certain skits in my head.

But I cannot believe how fucked up it is that SNL (NBC) is so protective of its skits. One of the many reasons YouTube is so good is because you can type in whatever random thing you want, and usually it will be there. Yet there’s almost no SNL on there. It is annoying because SNL, of course, has done some great skits over the years. I’d like to be able to watch them once in awhile.

What I would most like to see from the Best of Roseanne is the Delta Delta Delta skit. You know, where Roseanne is a sorority sister and she’s talking all valley girl. And being really funny. The whole skit is hilarious.

Everyone knows this Coffee Talk skit she did with Mike Myers and Madonna (with a cameo by Barbara Streisand).

But what about the Delta Delta Delta sisters?

And what about the Sally Jesse Raphael skit with Jan Hooks? And the Daily Affirmation with Stuart Smalley?

I don’t usually like to bitch on this blog, but damn, help a buddy out.

I did find this funny credit card ad skit she did with Phil Hartman, though…

But really it’s only added to my yearning for more from the Best of Roseanne.

C’est la vie,
craig

PS
Check out this old Pizza Hut commercial she did back in ’86.

Besides apartment hunting and being stuck on subways, "Garfield and Friends" has been occupying the last few days or so.

It's really funny. And there are a ton of episodes on YouTube.

I love how mean he is to Odie.
Odie's a real trooper, though.

I'm surprised I always find things to talk about since I work from home, rarely going out. (I just work from home. I didn't say that I make enough to live. Because I don't. I'm a starving boy. I just finished my last pack of ramen noodles.)

But this is what I really wanted to say:

So, the other night Rob K. (aka RobEtsy), the guy who started Etsy, came by our apartment and asked Desira and I to make him a shirt for him to wear on the Martha Stewart show.

And we did.

So, on Friday, you will be able to see Rob K. and Matt S. (also from Etsy) on Martha Stewart.

You can watch Rob's post-interview interview at the Etsy Labs here:

Listen carefully cuz you can hear SOMEone ask "Craig's here again?"

First of all, I need to find out who said that.
Second, I need to ask that person: "What's THAT supposed to mean?"

Gah.

In other news, Debbie, the new fake live-in girlfriend, and I had our first photo session.

In OTHER news, ever since Rob fixed my internet a few days ago, I haven't been able to sign onto Trillian, the chat program I use that lets me sign onto AIM, MSN, and Yahoo all from the same program.

It's annoying me like crazy.
But I DO get a lot done…

So, maybe I shouldn't even worry about chatting with people.

I really do like instant messaging.
I also like text messaging.

I hate it when I text somebody and then they call me right up to talk.
It's like… Dude, you're not getting it obviously.

Oh, lord…
I think I've already written about that on my blog before.

I'm HORRIBLE about repeating myself—especially in person.

I just forget what I've told people and what I haven't told them.

P.S.
I posted on Freecycle looking for an electric guitar.
I REALLY want to start playing again. Desira and I are going to get this show on the road, pals.
We're going to be famous punk rockers.

Whatever that means.

I think things like this are genius.

Simple and genius.
A lot of genius things are simple.
Like the wheel.

But this is by no means close to the invention of the wheel.

Jeez.

It's a guy trying to stab a fish that won't stay on his plate. While somebody keeps asking him "What is wrong with you? What's your problem?". To which the fish guy responds "Will you shut up? I'm trying to eat my fish!"

When's the last time you saw a wheel do that?

I dunno if I'm gonna do Self Portrait Thursday today.

I kept dreaming about zombies, much like those from "28 Days/Weeks Later". I can't tell you how many times I woke up, waking up with a gasp, sitting up in bed.

Actually, I kept replaying in my mind the opening scene from "28 Weeks Later":
(If you haven't seen this clip, watch it.)

It's so scary!
I don't know why I do it to myself.

And I don't know why I am so fascinated with the idea of zombies.

If I had to list four things I'm hands down hella fascinated with, I'd say:
1. Zombies
2. Shipwrecks
3. Knitting/yarn
4. Dinosaurs (and other prehistoric and/or extinct creatures)

I had a lot more to say, but I got sidetracked watching lots of stuff on YouTube.

SELF PORTRAIT THURSDAY
7.5.07

I decided to make a couple SPT videos instead of taking photos.

Why?

Ugh, just watch the videos.
Any questions you have will be answered.
But most will not.

The second one is better:

SELF-PORTRAIT THURSDAY!
5.31.07

I'm doing the dance from the Mary Timony video "Dr. Cat" while listening to the Raincoats.

I videotaped myself drinking (CHEAP!) wine from the bottle and playing my guitar.
I really need new strings. They sound really dull and crappy. And I'm missing two of them.

This week I decided to make a short video as my SPT entry.
