SELF PORTRAIT THURSDAY!
6.16.11

That’s me.
Mild mannered.
Happy go lucky.
And in need of a new haircut.

I started knitting a tank top.
I’m using very small needles and a very thin yarn.

I should be finished by next summer.

Greetings, you lovely boys and girls!

It's that time again… time to give something back to you as a thanks for your support.
This time I'm giving away one of my new tank tops because I think it's perfect for the warmer weather that is approaching. (Well, it's not that warm here in NYC today—and dang, is it windy—but I'm positive you are somewhere much better than I am right now.)
So, this time you have two options.
Option #1:
SPANISH LOVE AND ALCOHOL

Option #2 (which I haven't shown you yet…):
FRENCH LOVE AND L'ALCOOL

For now I'm only going to print these tank tops in men's/unisex sizes, but don't get discouraged, ladies! Get creative. These would be great layered with something else.
Size options:
S, M, L, XL
So, this is how it will work:
You will leave a comment (only one per person will be counted) on this blog entry by Wednesday, May 5th.
On Thursday, May 6th I will randomly choose a person with the assistance of Random.org.
I will announce the winner that day on the blog.
The winner will also be contacted via email, and he or she (or you) will specify which design and size they'd like.
Simple enough?
I thought so.
Be good, have a good day, and comment away!

New item for summer!

Hope you enjoy this.
Text reads:
"Me gustaría decirte que nunca te dejaré; y si te sientes triste, siempre puedo ofrecerte un trago para alegrar tu corazón. xo"

Like the other language t-shirt, this basically translate to: "I'll never leave you. And if you're sad, I can get you drunk."

I've been wanting to do another language t-shirt because I really like the message.
It speaks to me, and it seems to speak to others, as well.
Why not say it in Spanish?

Dear friends and blog readers,

So sorry I haven't been around much lately.
Ben J. and I have been REALLY busy getting ready for the Renegade Craft Fair.
It ended yesterday, so now I'm all yours.

Here are a couple of photos of our booth:

Despite getting really stressed and a slight yelling match with somebody, I had fun and enjoyed myself.
I didn't make as much dough as I had hoped—there were a lot of silkscreened t-shirts being sold at the fair so I guess it's hard to stand out—but Ben did really well! I'm really happy for him. His work was very popular. =)

What I'm really proud of is this knit rubberband tank dress (plus eyeless ski mask) I made and put on display. Check this lady out:

It was definitely something most people stopped to stare at, touch, or take photos of.
I didn't think it would have made that big of an impact, but it did and I'm glad!
