Now I don't really like musicals too much because most I find sorta… gay.
(Sorry, I'm not very PC anymore.)

However, there are a couple that I really enjoy: "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and Woody Allen's "Everyone Says I Love You".

("Sweeny Todd" is supposed to be good, but I haven't seen it yet.)

Anyway, last night I decided to watch the new "Hairspray" movie…

And I must say that I LOVED it.
Seriously.
I liked it more than the original.

It made me happy. And it's so energetic.
And the songs are pretty good.

So are the dance moves, including the dance move James Mardsen does at the 2:15 mark in this video clip!
I'm TOTALLY stealing that the next time I have to go dancing at a club or bar.
It's so bazzin'.

It's more wholesome than the original, which I kinda like cuz it doesn't try to copy the original, really. It just tries to tell the story in a new way. (Well, so does the Broadway version.)

Anyway, I'm sure a lot of people won't agree with me.

But that's because they're gay.

P.S.
John Travolta as Edna is sorta strange at first, I think.
I mean, at first does Edna have a speech impediment or something? (She pronounces "iron" as "urn".)
I dunno.
But I really like the end where Edna dances all crazyhardcore like.
It's nice.
